Timothy Hilton Obituary

Timothy Hilton

December 27, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy Wade Hilton, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend. Tim was born on December 30, 1959, in Clinton, Iowa, and passed peacefully on December 27, 2024, in Johnson City, Tennessee, after an extended illness. Tim attended East Central School in Miles, Iowa until 1976 when the family moved to Johnson City, Tennessee, where Tim attended Happy Valley High School in Elizabethton, Tennessee.

Tim's journey through life was one of resilience and exploration. A skilled and dedicated welder and pipefitter, Tim traveled extensively across the United States throughout his career. Beyond his professional life, Tim found joy in the simple yet meaningful pleasures of life-reading, fishing, and shooting were among his cherished pastimes.

Three years ago, Tim returned to Johnson City Tennessee. During this time, he was blessed with the companionship of many friends, especially Mike and Debbie Bellamy. Their unwavering support and kindness will always be remembered.

Tim leaves behind a sister, Lou Ann Rosenfeld and brother, Max Hilton (Debra) of North Liberty, Iowa; a special cousin, Patty Haney of Johnson City, Tennessee; nephews, Jon Howson and Michael Hilton; nieces, Erin Hilton and Sarah Conklin; and, great nephews and niece Kaden Hilton, Callen and Mayzie Conklin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Quinton Hilton; his mother, Lois Rockrohr Leedham; stepfather, Don Leedham; and brother, Donald James Hilton. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Reflecting Tim's love of dogs, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Washington County Johnson City Animal Center at 3411 N Roan St, Johnson City, TN 37602.

Tim was a man of quiet strength, deep compassion, and steadfast loyalty. May he rest in peace, forever remembered.

My sister Diane and I were fortunate to have grown up with the Hiltons just north of Sabula. Tim Hilton was the "little brother" to Lou Ann and Max "Al" Hilton and Donald. Their parents, Quinton and Lois were close friends of our parents. Tim was a good man and hard worker who loved the outdoors and loved his family and they loved him. He will be missed and my condolences to his family.
