JOHNSON CITY - Thomas Earl Hill, age 55, of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 at his home. Thomas was born in Carter County to Judy Johnson Hill and the late Jack McDonald Hill.

Thomas retired as a resource technician at Ballad Health where he had served in that role for 35 years. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed golf and sports. Thomas was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and a die-hard Jeff Gordon fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and his beloved grandson.

Those left to cherish and remember Thomas include his daughter, Tiffani Ryan and husband John of Bristol, TN; his mother, Judy Johnson Hill and his stepfather, Gary Hill of Elizabethton; his grandson, Ayden Tucker of Bristol, TN; his brothers, Greg Hill and Kevin Hill both of Elizabethton; his sisters, Tammy Hill of Johnson City and Melissa Fizer of Roan Mountain. Several nieces and nephews as well as the mother of his daughter and friend, LeAnn Morris of Gray, TN.

A celebration of Thomas's life will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Reverend James Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Wednesday or at the home of his mother at any time.

The committal and entombment will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 20, 2024 in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Oscar Henson, Doug Hamilton, Jeff Johnson, Greg Hill, James Staton and John Ryan. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton at 10:15 AM on Thursday to go in procession.

The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to Kathy and Bill Stout, Jeff Johnson, Wanda and Raymond Davis, Amedysis Hospice staff, and the doctors, nurses and staff at Johnson City Medical Center OR staff, Heart Surgery staff and Anesthia staff.
