Terry Whetsell Obituary

JONESBOROUGH - Mr. Terry Lynn Whetsell, age 60, Jonesborough, passed away on January 11, 2024 with his family by his side.

Terry was a native of Johnson City and the son of the late Paul and Annie Riddle Whetsell. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Whetsell.

Terry was a self-employed mechanic. No matter what he was doing he put his whole heart into it. Terry also loved his dogs and going fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Whetsell; children, Jordy Whetsell (Lyndsay), Halle Taylor (Daniel), Hank Dickens (Brooke), and Cody Dickens (Kim); stepsons, Mathew and Justin Wells; grandchildren, Norah, Luna, Mae Mae, Jackson, Luca, Sadie, and Henry; brothers, Ricky Whetsell and Stevie Whetsell; special friends, Danny Kyker, David Moore and Steve Williams, along with several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Terry will be Sunday, January 14, 2024 2:00 p.m. at Jonesborough Funeral Home. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
