JOHNSON CITY - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Teresa Ann Brinkley Gregory, 82, of Johnson City, on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

Teresa was born in Johnson City and was a daughter of the late, Walter J. and Grace R. Honeycutt Brinkley.

She attended Science Hill High School, however graduated from Daniel Boone High School, where her family moved just before her Senior year. Teresa adored the friends she made at both schools and tried staying in touch with them throughout her life.

Teresa rode and showed Tennessee Walking Horses. She was a long-standing member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association.

At the age of 29, Teresa and her three daughters moved to the Middle Tennessee area, eventually settling in Brentwood. Teresa attended Draughon's Business College and was a member of Brentwood First United Methodist Church.

After raising her daughters, Teresa returned to the hometown she missed and the family and friends she loved.

She was a real-estate Investor. Teresa owned and managed residential and commercial properties in Washington County until she retired at age 79.

Teresa was a long-time supporter of the Crumley House and a passionate supporter of the Jewish people through numerous avenues.

In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by; uncle, James "Jim" Brinkley, of Jacksonville, FL and her recently passed first born grandson, Kenneth Ryan Elliott.

She leaves behind her daughters, Alyse A. Taylor, Kimberly G. Ramsey, and Shelia P. Thomas; two adoring sons-in-law, Kirk Taylor, and Darren Ramsey; beloved grandchildren, Benjamin Taylor, Whitney Andrews, Zachary Fleming, and Teresa Fleming; special cousin, Brenda Carden; and lifelong friend, Sandra Gregory.

The funeral service for Teresa will be conducted on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. from the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, with Dava Lee Russell, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The graveside committal service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be chosen from friends and family. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:50 a.m.
