COLLIERVILLE - Mrs. Susan Patricia Crowe, 70, passed away on Friday, November 24th, 2023, at her home in Collierville, TN.
Susan grew up in beautiful Erwin, TN. She was the wild 3rd child of Paul and Joy Donnelly and was also raised by her stepfather, Allen Cook upon the death of her father. Susan went to Erwin High School where she was known to have plenty of fun and somehow avoid most trouble. Susan played cymbals in the band and that was the end of her musical talents. She went to Hiwassee Junior College in Madisonville, TN and after a bit of time, she decided that buying a Camaro was better use of her education money. Susan met Charlie Crowe a few years later when they both worked at Thompson Industries. She couldn't resist his good looks and charm and so they married on December 23rd, 1973, and would have celebrated 50 blissful years of marriage this year.
Susan was the proud mother of Paul and Christa and loved nothing more than being a softball and baseball Mom. She never missed a game. She loved her time working at Fantastic Sams, getting to know the customers and making lifelong friends. Plus, she received free haircuts, which was a tremendous benefit as she constantly needed maintenance to keep her mop under control.
Susan loved running, a good cup of coffee, and anything sweet, especially bear claws and apple fritters. It was the little things that made Susan the happiest, like finding a good deal at a yard sale or petting a puppy dog.
Susan was a member of the United Methodist Church since she was a little girl and believed with her whole heart that when she passed, she was going home to see her mother, father, and stepfather, who all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Crowe; two children, her son Paul Crowe and her daughter Christa Phillips and her husband Mike Phillips; one brother, Ted Donnelly and his wife Mitzi; two sisters, Lisa Gelfand and her husband Michael, and Sandy Schweitzer and her husband Steve; four grandchildren, Leigha Crowe, Wyatt Phillips, Emmett Phillips, and Miles Phillips; and lastly, one fur baby, Pollyanna.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 1:00pm at Tetrick Funeral Services with Pastor Jody Jenkins officiating.
Susan will be laid to rest following the funeral at 2:00pm at Roselawn Memory Garden, in Johnson City, TN.

I shall remember Susan as a loving mother, a woman that loved to run and loved to laugh! (I did not know about her sweet tooth). My prayers are for Charlie and family.
