What fun we had in high school! I remember when Steve could borrow his dads car we would all dig around under the car seats to get enough change to buy a little gas.

There are no words that can express the sadness at the passing of Steve. I had the pleasure of sharing morning coffee with Steve at the old McDonalds when it was in Walmart. We had so much fun that our group became known as the McDonalds Mafia. Steve was the very best of friends sharing stories, tales, jokes, family and local history. Blessings of comfort and understanding for Melinda and family.

Steve was a great man. I worked for him for years and spent a lot of time with him in the tobacco patch. We always had a good time. He loved that piece of land and was proud to say he owned something that his relative, an original settler of Carter County once owned. I'm greatful i got to know him and know that we will see each other again in Heaven.

My deepest sympathies and love goes out to Mr. Hyder's family and friends. He was my father David Killens best friend and I know they are both laughing and cutting up together in heaven.
