Mr. Steven Rex Cloyd, age 60, Jonesborough, passed away May 1, 2025 from injuries sustained in the flood from Hurricane Helene. Mr. Cloyd was born May 22, 1964, in Rockford, Illinois, to the late Bobby Rex & Rose Marie Gesner Cloyd. Steve worked for Stellantis. Survivors include his wife, Keli McDaniel Cloyd, Jonesborough; children, Matthew Cloyd (Alyssa Cardenas), Cameron Cloyd (Nadine Shropshire); grandchildren, Vittoris Cloyd, Levi Cloyd, Sebastian Gresham, and Patrick Steven Cloyd, brothers, Gary Cloyd and Shawn Krayenborg; sister, Betty Krayenborg (Jane Demaris); sisters-in-law, Cammi (James) Fosse, Michelle (Greg) Hamil and Heather (Tod) Vrolyk; grandmother-in-law, Frances Rinaldi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 284 Charlie Carson Rd. Jonesborough, Tennessee 37659, Gathering time is 2:30 PM with Service Starting at 3:00 PM. Family requests attendees to please bring a lawn chair.

My love, my heart, my soul....i will carry on because of you, i will live my life for both of us. I thank you for 36 years of true love, it´s a once in a lifetime kind of love, I keep your heart and give you mine to keep with you until we are reunited one sweet day. I miss you so much, but we will make you proud, we will never let them forget you!!!! Save a seat next to you for when i come home someday. I LOVE YOU MOSTEST TIMES INFINITY TIMES INFINITY AND BEYOND.

Deepest sympathies for your loss. Steven's passing is heartbreaking. His memory will live on in many hearts, even those who awaited his return from afar. Though the outcome was not as hoped, may comfort be found in knowing he rests in peace.

Steve was the first one I had heard of and had been keeping up with the missing sites daily . I am glad that he was finally recovered. May this give you some peace, comfort and closure. You all will remain in my thoughts and prayers.
