JONESBOROUGH - Steve R. Peeno, 75, of Jonesborough, TN, formerly of Weaverville, NC, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2024, at his residence. Born September 7, 1948, in Cincinnati, OH to the late Billie Long and Woody Peeno. Steve had served as a manager for Dotson Pest Control and Sears Pest Control for many years. He served in the US Army during the Viet Nam Era as an aircraft mechanic. After retirement, Steve enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles. He was a former member of Grace UMC, in Weaverville, NC.
Including his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his sister, Darla Craven.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years, Cheryl Peeno; daughters, Traci Peeno and Laura Peeno; and 2 granddaughters, Rebecca and Sonja.
Thanks to his neighbors who helped Steve and his family during this time and a special thanks to Mae Brooks for helping his wife, Cheryl.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 1:00pm at Tetrick Funeral Service, Johnson City with Pastor Dale Cunningham officiating.
Steve will be laid to rest following the service at 3:00pm at Mt. Home National Cemetery. Military honors bestowed by DAV#39.
