Shirley Taylor Obituary

GRAY - It is with profound love and respect that we commemorate the life of Shirley Taylor, who entered into eternal peace on February 14, 2024, in Gray, Tennessee. Born on January 17, 1938, in Wise, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Millard "Mitt" Roberts and Bernice Collier Roberts.

In addition to her parents, Shirley also faced the heartrending loss of her children, Paul Harold Taylor, Teresa Elizabeth Taylor, and Andy Joseph Taylor, as well as her grandson, Ricky Taylor, and her brother, Robert Taylor.

Despite such trials, Shirley's love never wavered, and her spirit remained indomitable. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her children, Rebecca Miller of Cincinnati, OH, Jonathan Taylor (Morgan) of Gray, TN, her sister Kathy Selvage (Gary) of Wise, VA, her brother, Woody Roberts (Tracee) of Yorktown, VA, her grandchildren Andy Taylor, Kelly Taylor, JonJon Taylor (Ali), Bradley Miller, a special nephew, Jamey Roberts and her daughter-in-law, Kim Taylor.

Shirley's life, an exemplar of quiet resilience and boundless love, has left an indelible mark on all who knew her, and her luminous presence will forever grace the hearts of her family and friends.

The family extends a special thanks to Life Care of Gray.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
