Shirley Ellen (Foster) Hitchcock went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2023. Shirley is predeceased by her husband John Kenneth Hitchcock Sr., her father Charles Foster, mother Winnifred Brock, and sister Barbara. A special thank you to her best and dearest friend Debbie Harris of 27 years for caring for her and loving her always. Also, Nurse Jeannie Dilks for the compassion shown to her during her final months.
Shirley was born on June 20, 1954, in El Paso Texas. She loved spending time with friends, laughing, and eating traditional spicy Tex-Mex dishes. Shirley and her husband enjoyed growing their own hot peppers and tried a variety of pepper combinations to create the perfect spice and heat for cooking. Shirley loved being a part of her local Baptist Church and gave back by assisting as a sign language interpreter.
Shirley will be laid to rest with her husband at Mountain Home National Cemetery, located at 215 Heroes Drive, Mountain Home, Tennessee, on April 5, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.

I met Shirley in the early 90s. We were friends from that point on. As life does sometimes, we went in different directions, but always stayed in touch. I will miss her and I hope her family knows how much she was loved.

Dear Family,
Please accept our sincere condolences in the passing of our sweet friend Shirley! She was a dear coworker and a precious friend. She always had a smile even in her toughest of times! We are blessed that God allowed our paths to cross. May she rest in peace and God bless you during this time.

My cousin Shirley will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
When my family would visit El Paso, I always enjoyed seeing her and I loved her smile.
She is now with her husband, sister, mother and her daddy Charles in heaven. May God bless her soul and may she rest eternally at peace.

I'm so sad to hear of Shirley's passing. Her mom worked for our family for many years and became a part of our family. Prayers to Susie and her family.
