WATAUGA - Shirley Ann Hughes Fair, 88, Watauga, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023 in the Franklin Woods Hospital. She was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Toey & Blanche Hughes. She was retired from the Johnson City Medical Center as an ACC Secretary for 24 years. She was also employed by the City of Watauga for 10 years as a Secretary. She loved flowers and watching the Atlanta Braves. Shirley was a member of the Watauga First Baptist Church for several years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby J. Fair and a son, Rickey Fair.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Jack Fair, Jr and wife Susie, and Mickey Fair and wife Linda, all of Watauga; two grandchildren, Aleshia Burks, Elizabethton and Erick Fair, Watauga; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Burks, Charlene Burks, Robert and Makala Parker; one sister, Patsy Frazier, Bristol and one brother, Jackie Hughes & wife Judy.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Art Webb officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:20 p.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
