Sherrie Price September 15, 1962- July 7, 2024
JOHNSON CITY - Sherrie Lee Lyons Price, 61, of Johnson City TN, passed away on July 7th, 2024, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Sherrie was born on September 15,1962 to Larry Jerome Lyons and Peggy Jean Lyons in Johnson City TN.
Sherrie attended school 1st through 12th grade at Happy Valley in Carter County TN. She graduated from Tri-Cities State Technical Institute of Blountville and Tusculum College. She had many talents and experiences in her life. The ones she enjoyed the most were the Johnson City Farmers Market and as the co-owner of Creekside Grill. Sherrie loved spending time with her father-in-law Jess (lovingly known as Pop) and mother-in-law Phyllis selling produce at the farmer's market. Sherrie also was involved with 87th Engineering Battalion Veterans Association. Sherrie married her best friend Joe Price on April 5, 2010, in Gatlinburg TN. Sherrie had a special fur child Princess and her chickens.
Sherrie is preceded in death by her father, Larry Jerome Lyons, Stepfather Robert W. Mitchell, Maternal Grandparents Joseph and Ethel Gracie Young, Mother-in-law Phyllis Price.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Joe Price, Mother Peggy Jean Mitchell, Brothers Larry Jerome Lyons Jr. and Rob Mitchell, Brother-in-law James Price, Sisters-in-law Victoria Mitchell and Glenda Crowe, Nieces Jessica Price, Anna Price and Nephews John Price and Nicolai McClanathan. Best Friends Rhonda Scalf, Regenia Skinner, Laurie Johnson, Lori Phillips Ritchie, Kim Estep and Melissa Hamby.
No matter where Sherrie was in life, she was known for her kindness and trying to help others. As her last act of kindness Sherrie donated to Restore Life USA, in hopes one day no family will know cancer.
A celebration of life will be conducted at a later date.
The family of Sherrie wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Victoria Mitchell, Restore Life USA, and the Nurses of the 4300 unit at JCMC.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. It was such a blessing to meet Sherrie at her first reunion with the 87th Engineers and to become friends in the years that followed. RIP dear friend and soar with the eagles!
