Mrs. Sara Cash May 28, 2024
JONESBOROUGH - Mrs. Sara Cash, age 81, Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Cash was born in Knox County to the late Uriah Anderson and Sarah Magdalene Brooks Myers. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rebecca Lynn Cash, brothers Leroy Myers and Johnny Myers, and one sister, Melva Jean Dixon.
Mrs. Cash was a member of Jonesborough Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Cash was a Special Education Teacher at Green Valley Developmental until her retirement.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, James R Cash; son and daughter-in-law, James M. and Jeanna Cash; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Billy Whittington; grandchildren, Matthew Cash, Tabatha Whaley Smith (Tyler), William "Jake" Whaley (Jessica), and Michaela Bowser; great-grandchildren, Jocelynn Cash, Lexie Brown, Lizzie Smith, Mack Bowser, Vivi Smith, Abby Bowser, and Luella Whaley; brothers, Joe Myers (Ella), sister, Carrie Lee Wallace and several nieces and nephews.
The Family would like to express their profound gratitude to Dr. Rachal Monderer for her exceptional care and support of Sara over the years. Her dedication and compassion were a source of great comfort to the family.
Mrs. Cash's funeral services will be Friday, May 31, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Jonesborough Funeral Home, with Pastor Allen Huff officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM prior to the service.
The graveside service will be on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Michael Cash, Jake Whaley, Andy Hixon, Justin Vititoe, Charles Cash, and Dale Cash will be pallbearers.

My sincere condolences to Jim, Beth Ann, and all the family. It was an honor to have been a friend to Mrs. Cash for many years. We will all miss her smile and extremely kind nature.
