Mrs. Sally M. Kyker

JONESBOROUGH - Mrs. Sally M. Kyker, age 89, Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Kyker was born in Carter County, on January 4, 1935, to the late Lige and Cordia McKinney Gouge. She moved to Jonesborough in 1948 and remained in Washington County throughout her life.

Mrs. Kyker retired from Alemite in 1999. She spent many hours at her sewing machine and was an accomplished seamstress and crafter who was a fixture at area craft shows and festivals for many years. She also loved making Candy for her family. She was also very knowledgeable and an avid bird watcher.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kyker was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Jim" Kyker; grandchildren, Anthony Rice and Stacie Johnson; brothers, Roy Gouge and Fred Gouge; sisters, Goldie Hyder, Georgia Francis, Lena Plank.

Survivors include, two daughters, Juanita "Susie" Blevins of Jonesborough and Nancy Bibbee of Telford; grandson, Robert Blevins; great grandchildren, Gene Rice, Mercedes Kruze, Christian Johnson; 3 great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend many thanks to all the people who helped take care of Sally. A very special thanks to Dr. Rachel Monderer for her long-term care and compassion.

A Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Washington County Memory Gardens.
