PINEY FLATS - Ruth Lilly Green Webb, age 88, of Piney Flats, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Waters of Roan Highland Nursing Home in Roan Mountain. Ruth was born in Roan Mountain on April 29, 1937 to the late James and Ethel Potter Green. In addition to her parents, Ruth was also preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Webb; her daughter, Angie Webb; her brothers, Emmett Green, James Green, Jr, Dickie Green, Dallas Green, George Green and Jake Green; her sisters, Nancy Burton, Lucy Guinn and Hazel Chambers.
Ruth had worked for SmithKline Beecham for 10 years and was a homemaker.
Those left to cherish her memory include two brothers, Harold Green of North Carolina and Steward (Katherine) Green of Michigan; and two sisters, Mary Lou (RC) McKinney of North Carolina and Norma Jean Arnett of Roan Mountain. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A service to celebrate Ruth's life will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Reverend Dale Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Saturday.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 1, 2025 in the Sunrise Cemetery in Bluff City, Tennessee. Active pallbearers will be Robbie Bradley, Dylan Ward, Cody Marsillett, Jonathan Webb, Jason Street and Todd Whitehead. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton at 1:00 PM on Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Mary Ann Hill, her Amedysis Hospice nurse and to all the caregivers at the Waters of Roan Highland Nursing Home.

My sympathy to the Ruth Green Webb family. Much earlier years, Ruth and I attended Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church. Our friendship continued through Cloudland High School where we graduated 1956. Our reunions were always happy times. She was so kind to all of us. We'll meet again friends....Dimple
