UNICOI - Roy Woodward Nelson, Jr., Unicoi, went to be with the Lord February 3, 2025 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Louise, his siblings: Bobby, Jimmy, and Mary Lee, his daughters-in-law: Tiffany, Leslie and Candace and his great-grandson Cainen. He worked for AO Smith for 35 years and was a big Tennessee Vols and Atlanta Braves fan. Roy was of the Free Will Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his loving wife Velma "Sissy" Nelson, his children: Jason, Chris, Jeff and his wife Leanna and Nathan and his wife Brittany. His Grandchildren: Brooke, Taylor, Rachel Eller and husband Trevor, Summer, Austin, Kimberly, Katlyn, Hayley, Robert, Jeremiah, Harper and Hunter. His Great Grandchildren: Logan, Paisley, Vadyn, Carter, James, Charlie and Cyrus, as well as his loving dog "Twilight".

Graveside Service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025 in the Mausoleum Chapel, Evergreen Cemetery, Erwin with Pastor Terry Puckett officiating. Pallbearers are going to be his four sons followed by Austin, Timothy, Trevor and Mikey. Family and friends will assemble at the chapel at 2:45 p.m. Friday. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
