LIMESTONE - Rovenia Bryant, 86, of Limestone, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, morning November 26, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Rex and Lenna Deakins Cloyd.
Rovenia attended Casi Full Gospel Church. She retired from the Washington County Board of Education. Rovenia enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Rovenia was preceded in death by her husband, Benny J. Bryant; infant daughter, Judy Lee Bryant; sisters, Dorothy Kate Brackins, Vella Mae Laws; brother, Roy "Bud" Cloyd; great-grandson, Hunter Briggs; and son-in-law, Tom, McCurry.
Survivors include her children, Jeanene McCurry; Patsy Campbell (Carlos), Benny Bryant (Pam), Tammy Bryant (finance Alan Moore); six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Cloyd; sister, Jane Sullins (Dan); special friends, Virginia Hinkle, Shirley Cloyd; along with several nieces and nephews.
The Bryant family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in the Chapel of Jonesborough Funeral Home from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Teresa Broyles officiating. Committal Service and Interment will be on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Morning Star Cemetery beginning at 11 a.m. Aaron Mitchell, Eric Mitchell, Travis Campbell, Brad Henley, Alan Moore, Brian Bradley, and Carlos Campbell will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Isacc Briggs.
The Bryant family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice and nurse Nicki, along with Josh Cloyd, Donna McKinney, and Teresa Broyles.
