DACULA, GEORGIA - Rosalind Bewley Whittenburg, 86, of Dacula, Georgia, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025.

She was born in Newport, TN and grew up in Greeneville, TN. She was the daughter of the late Roswell and Eugenia Bewley. She attended William and Mary and upon graduation accepted a position with IBM programming computers. She obtained her MBA from Vanderbilt University. She was a computer consultant and systems engineer for numerous companies throughout her career.

She was a member of NAMI-Johnson City, Johnson City Monday Club, ETSU Alliance for Continued Learning, American Association of University Women, Johnson CIty Chamber of Commerce, Kappa Delta, and Phi Beta Kappa.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James David Whittenburg.

Survivors include: two daughters, Laura Coffman of Flowery Branch, GA and Carol Berry of Buford, GA; a grandson, William Berry of Buford, GA; a brother and sister-in-law, Kent and Bettye Anne Bewley of Greeneville, TN.

A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, July 24th at 2:00 pm in Oak Grove Cemetery in Greeneville, TN. Those attending the service are asked to assemble at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in the form of donations to Holston Home for Children 404 Holston Dr., Greeneville, TN 37743 or Just People, Inc 1412 Oakbrook Dr., Norcross, GA 30093.
