KINGSPORT - Rosalee Simms Arp, 82, Kingsport, gained her wings on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Wexford House.
Rosalee was a born in Johnson City and was a daughter of the late Frank and Ruby Blevins Simms.
Rosalee was a member of Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching Westerns and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents Rosalee was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ray Arp; son, Robert Jeremy Arp; brothers, Jack Simms, Jim Simms, John Simms; sister, Lillian Penix.
Survivors include her sons, David Arp (Lisa), Frank Arp (Jacqueline), Donald Arp; daughter, Donna Moyers (Billy); 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; brother, Sam Simms (Gail); several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Rosalee will be conducted Monday, June 19, 2023, at 5:00 P.M. from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Mike Bays, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00-5:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.
The graveside committal service will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be chosen from friends and family. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:50 A.M.

Rosalee was my next door neighbor for 16 1/2 years. She was quiet and stayed to herself. She loved her old, western movies and never bothered a soul. May she rest in peace.
