JONESBOROUGH - On the morning of November 6, 2024, Ronald B. Stout, Jonesborough took the hand of Jesus and stepped into eternity. He was a son of the late Samuel and Clara Ann Church Stout. Ron spent his life serving others through law enforcement, Jaycees, Ruritan, Republican Executive Committee, EMS of which he was a founding member and various Christian ministries. He was an exceptional baseball player and golfer. He also coached baseball and basketball teams. Ron leaves a legacy of service to others with integrity, dedication and most of all, love.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Charlotte Jean Stout;

Ron will be missed by his brother, Jim "Butch" Stout and his wife, Mary; his children, Mark Stout and his wife, Becky, Gregory Mashburn and Rhonda Kelly; grandchildren, Ashley Golden (Todd), Allen Mashburn, Matthew Stout (Trisha), Beth Golden (Chris), Dillon Stout (Ashlea) and Dakota Stout; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Peterson, Lydia George, Paxton Golden, Emmaline Golden, Amelia Mashburn and Colton Ray Stout; and his daily canine companion, Roscoe.

Graveside services for Ron will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Maplelawn Cemetery, 400 US 11-E, Jonesborough with his brother, Rev. Jim "Butch" Stout officiating. The family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City from 12:00 noon until 1:30 PM then proceed to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Mashburn, Mark, Matt, Dillon and Dakota Stout and Al Mashburn.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.

I worked with Ron at the VA and also at JCMC. He was always so polite and respectful. He was a good worker. Prays go out to his family.
