Ronald Hayes Obituary

ELIZABETHTON - Ronald Earl Hayes, 75, of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.

Ron was born in Roanoke, VA to Thelma and Earl G. Hayes.

He was a member of Johnson City Church of God, a veteran of the US Navy, and retired from AO Smith.

In addition to his father, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ann Hayes; and brother, Jackie Wayne Hayes.

Ron is survived by: his mother, Thelma Hayes; brother, Michael Hayes; two sons, Joseph and Dennis Hayes; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ron was an amateur photographer and enjoyed bird watching and fishing. Ron was a longtime donor to the Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Rejoice Radio, and many other veteran and Christian ministries. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of his favorite charities.

Ron will be privately interred at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
