Roger Espinoza Obituary
February 7, 2025
JONESBOROUGH - Roger Felix Espinoza, 75, Jonesborough, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, from pulmonary fibrosis.
He was born in Cimarron, NM and was a son of the late William Abe and Mary Garcia Espinoza.
Roger retired from Modern Wooden of America after 20 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and attended Metro State University in Denver, CO.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Espinoza.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Leigh Benton Espinoza; son, Michael Espinoza (Rochelle); grandchildren, Conrad and Janelle Espinoza; brother, Willie Espinoza; sister, Loretta Vigil; several nieces and nephews.
He was a long-time member of Johnson City Church of God where he participated in many areas of the church. Roger was a very compassionate gentleman who loved everyone.
The funeral service for Roger will be conducted Thursday, February 13, 2025, 7:00 p.m. at Johnson City Church of God with Rev. C. Bryant Collins, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
The committal service will be held Friday, February 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in Mountain Home National Cemetery, Historic Site. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 p.m.
In-lieu-of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Johnson City Church of God, 1908 Indian Ridge Rd. Johnson City, TN 37604 or Johnson City Washington County Animal Shelter, 3411 N. Roan St. Johnson City, TN 37601.
