Mr. Robert Wayne Taylor August 14, 1941- September 16, 2024
JONESBOROUGH - Mr. Robert Wayne Taylor, age 83, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Wayne was born in Jonesborough, Tennessee on August 14, 1941, to the late Robert Lewis & Dorothy Mae Ferguson Taylor.
He was a 1959 graduate of Jonesborough High School. Wayne worked for over twenty years for Klopman Mills, then part-time for the Johnson City Medical Center and later for Whites Grocery Store.
Wayne loved nothing more than going out with his "breakfast buddies" and spending time in the Jonesborough Community. He was proud of his hometown.
In addition to his parents Robert and Dorothy, Wayne was preceded in death by his sister, Jean.
Survivors include his brother, Richard Taylor, of Gray; stepsisters, Diana Wilson, Florida and Barbara Williams, North Carolina; nephews and niece, Clint Taylor, Wesley Taylor, and Leslie Taylor; special friend, Dr. Addie Hancock.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, prior to the service. Graveside Services will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Dillow, Jim Boyd, Bobby Davis, David Wise, Clint Taylor, and Wes Taylor.

So sorry to hear this l remember as a young boy growing up in Jonesboro, seeing Wayne at the drugstore or sitting on the courthouse benches,friendly and l always thought he was so cool as a teenager.
