Obituary for Roberto "Bob" S. Minazaganian
March 31, 1949 – February 4, 2025
Age 75, of Teaneck, NJ, formerly of Trieste, Italy; Rochester, NY; Hoboken, NJ; and Union City, NJ.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roberto "Bob" Minazaganian, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Bob passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, at the age of 75.
Born in Trieste, Italy, on March 31, 1949, Bob's life journey took him from his early years in Europe to his time as a dedicated military service member to his later years spent to various parts of the U.S., including Rochester, NY, Hoboken, and Union City, before settling in Teaneck, NJ. He was predeceased by his parents, Mario and Yolanda Minazaganian.
As a Vietnam War veteran and Military Police officer in the U.S. Army, Bob served his country with honor and dedication. One of the highlights of his military career was his role as a Special Mission Escort to President Richard Nixon during a trip to NORAD.
Bob's passion in life included engaging in spirited discussions on politics, evolutionary science, and history. His vast knowledge was vast, and he was always eager to share his insights with others. He particularly enjoyed recounting tales from his youth, especially the adventures he shared with his lifelong best friend, Larry. His storytelling will be remembered by all who had the privilege to listen.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Minazaganian; his son, Steve Minazaganian; daughter-in-law, Grace Minazaganian; stepdaughter, Wendy Morales; and his grandchildren: Charlize Minazaganian, Steven Minazaganian, Nicholas Ramirez, and Megan Vanore.
Bob's legacy will live on in the lives of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
