August 6, 1936 – December 9, 2023
LORAIN, OH - Rev. Robert Lee Kroh (Bob), age 87, of Lorain, OH, formerly of Bellevue, WA, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
He was born in Baltimore, MD, on August 6, 1936, the son of the late Curtis and Eva (nee Gross) Kroh. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley (nee Thacker); loving father of Craig (Dawn) and Kelly Kroh; cherished grandfather of the late Curtis Kroh II, Devin (Whitney) Kroh, Nicholas (Sophie) Kroh and Alec Kroh and great-grandfather of Thea and Reece Kroh; adored step-son of Mabel Kroh.
Bob was known for his sense of humor and always having a joke at the ready, his love of "B" Westerns and his life-long passion for baseball, especially his beloved Baltimore Orioles. He and his wife, Shirley, loved travelling all across the United States together. He was a graduate of Milligan College, now Milligan University, and has proudly supported the school and its mission throughout his life, as well.
Bob's ministry and his faith in Jesus was the most important thing in life to him. His faith carried him through life and the churches he ministered to in Washington, D.C; Erwin, TN; Las Vegas, NV; and Seattle, WA. He was a caring and generous person who touched many lives through his ministry and also believed in telling the truth of the gospel even if people did not agree. Bob was such a special man, a man who loved the Lord and loved people. He was and will continue to be a great example of how to cling to the Lord when things happen in your life that you would rather not happen, such as the passing of a spouse and then having to move from your home and carry on in life. It seemed that he did that so well. He ran a great race, and now he is with the Lord. Well done, good and faithful servant.
Services and inurnment are planned for Saturday March 16, 2024 at 1:00PM at the Garden Chapel of the Risen Lord (A Colum Barium in The Emmanuel Village) at Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan in Johnson City, TN. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Robert's name to Milligan University
