Leon Guzman Obituary
Leon, known as Roy and Manong Roy to his inner circle of family & friends, was an honorable, loving, responsible & giving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin & a friend to many.
He graduated high school from Ateneo de Tuguegarao in the Philippines and went on to graduate from the University of the East in the Philippines with a BS in Accounting in Manila, Philippines. Leon earned his MBA & Masters in Taxation & Estate Planning from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ.
He passed the Philippines equivalent of the CPA license and worked at The Philippine National Bank where he met his wife, Natividad; both of them worked as accountants. Leon was a licensed CPA in New Jersey, Virginia & Florida.
Leon worked for 25 years at Warner-Lambert (acquired by Pfizer) in corporate reporting & taxation. He also worked as a tax auditor with the State of Florida. He enjoyed a full, happy & productive life.
He was pre-deceased by his son, Noel C. Guzman who passed away in 2013.
Leon is survived by his loving wife, Natividad; daughter, Veronica; son, Leonard; daughter-in-law, Charlotte; grandchildren: Mary & Grace; his siblings, Gregoria, Lupo & Lydia and many cousins including Bob, Pancho, Rose, Corrie, Lucrecia, Elwood, Estrella, Priscilla and Lydia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Visitation on Sunday, August 24th 2025 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with his Funeral Service to be offered at 12:30 p.m. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.
