JOHNSON CITY - Robert Ball, 95, Johnson City, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Lakebridge, A Waters Community.

He was a native of Johnson City and was a son of the late Neil and Myrtle Foister Ball.

Robert was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #486 F&AM for over 60 years. He worked in maintenance at Kennametal Inc. for over 30 years.

Robert enjoyed watching NASCAR, dirt racing, and UT football. He loved working on his cars in his garage.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Lloyd Ball; stepmother, Mattie Ball; brother, Walter Ball; sister, Melba Lowe.

Survivors include his daughter, Sharon K. Griffin (Harold); son, Jeffery L. Ball (Martie); grandchildren, Aaron R. Griffin (Kristin), J. Brett Ball (Natalie); great grandchildren, Jozlyn (our miracle baby), Boaz, Geneva, Ivo, Owen Griffin; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Dale Ball; and special friend Ernie Bishop.

The graveside service for Robert will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. in Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be chosen from friends and family.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City.
