JONESBOROUGH - Rita McCrary McKee, 73, Jonesborough, passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Four Oaks Healthcare Center.

She was born in Kingsport and was a daughter of the late Nilan and Iva Lee Phillips McCrary.

Rita was of Christian faith. She was a collector of ink pens. Rita enjoyed watching wrestling and going to matches with her son. She had a kind, loving heart especially with her children and grandchildren. Rita loved them tremendously.

In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Edward McKee; grandson, Christopher Hall; brothers, Mike and Jerry McCrary; brother-in-law, Gene Wishon.

Survivors include her daughter, Lori Blevins (Mickey); sons, Gary McKee (Serina Moss) and Jerry McKee; grandchildren, Tristan, Tapaienga, Adyn, Alex, Emersyn; sister, Sharon Wishon; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Rita will be conducted Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. from the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, with Steve Wheat, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The graveside committal service will be held Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be chosen from friends and family. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 a.m.
