JOHNSON CITY - Richard Allen Oxendine, 76, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 in the Princeton Transitional Care, Johnson City. He was born June 29, 1947 in Johnson City to the late George & Mary Vaughn Oxendine. He was retired from Mays Brothers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Winston, Jerry, Rocky and Wayne Oxendine and two sisters: Kathy Oxendine and Lynn Farrell. Richard attended Nidiffer Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years: Charlotte Perry Oxendine; one son & daughter-in-law: T.J. & Amber Oxendine; one grandson: Tristin; one sister & brother-in-law: Patsy & Gary Lee and several nieces & nephews.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2023 in the Pearl Bowers Cemetery with Pastor Bill Watson and Pastor Dean Presnell officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11.a.m. Friday, prior to the Graveside Service.
