Richard Heath passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Born on July 1, 1978, Richard lived a life full of passion, kindness, and dedication.

Growing up, Richard achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, a testament to his perseverance and strong character. He was also a talented athlete, representing the United States in golf at the Special Olympics in Athens, Greece, where he won a first-place gold Medal. Golf was his true passion, and he excelled in the sport, finding joy and camaraderie on the course.

Richard was the beloved son of Jackie and Derek Heath. He is survived by his brother, Robert Heath, and sister-in-law, Catherine Heath. He was a proud and loving uncle to five. Richard also leaves behind his extended family in the United Kingdom, including his Aunt Doreen, Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Michael, Aunt Lynn, and Uncle Ronald.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Jonesborough Presbyterian Church, 128 W Main St, Jonesborough, TN 37659 with Reverend Michael Lester officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, Richard would have wanted donations to be made to the Special Olympics Area 3 Chapter in Johnson City, Tennessee. Contributions can be sent to:

I was in Boy Scouts with Richard as he was getting started. He helped me on my Eagle project and am very proud that he got his Eagle scout rank!!! A true testament to his character!
