Richard Fair Obituary

JOHNSON CITY - Richard Leroy Fair, age 88, of Johnson City, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at NHC Healthcare in Johnson City. Richard was born in Carter County, Tennessee to the late Jess W. Fair and Frankie R. (Johnson) Wallace.
Richard was an electrician and a member of Cherokee Church of Christ. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Those left to cherish Richard's memory include his beloved wife of 66 years, Lois Harvey Fair; two sons, Ted (Deborah) Fair of Erwin, TN and John (Angie) Fair of Hampton, TN; a brother, Mack (Shirley) Fair of Johnson City, TN; five grandchildren, Daniel Fair of Johnson City, Denlle Hensley of Erwin, Chasity Hensley of Greeneville, Michael Bailey of Greene County and William Silvers of Greeneville; and three great grandchildren, Julie Hensley, Lucas Hensley and Hunter Hensley.
A celebration of Richard's life will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 7, 2025 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the service on Saturday.
The graveside service will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Ted Fair, John Fair, Johnny Harvey, Travis Harvey, Tracy Harvey and John Harvey.
