PINEY FLATS - Reba Louise Loveday Peer, 83, Piney Flats, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at her residence.

She was born in Sevier County and was a daughter of the late Thomas and Edna Baker Loveday.

Reba was a member of New Hope Church of Christ. She was a faithful minister's wife, serving the church in many capacities. Reba was always at the forefront of the church.

She was a salesclerk at JC Penny for many years. Reba loved to shop. She was always into fashion and very fashionable. Reba enjoyed walking outside with her friends and family.

In addition to her parents, Reba was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Scott Peer; daughter, Kimberly Peer Bright; sister, Virgie Loveday Welch; brothers, Buford Loveday and Frank Loveday; special fury friend, Rascal.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Paul Peer; son-in-law, Parrish Bright; daughter-in-law, Val Peer; grandchildren, Wes Peer (Ashley), Scott Peer (Rachel), Mchale Bright; great grandchildren, Rilynn, Elias, Ashla, Owen, Ava; sister, Faye Loveday Ossenbeck; brother, T.L. Loveday; several nieces and nephews; lots of special friends, loved ones at church and work.

The funeral service for Reba will be conducted Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. from the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City, with Gerald Holly, Kenny Overdorff, and Paul Peer, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The graveside committal service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the mausoleum chapel of Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be chosen from friends and family. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Reba's name to the building fund at New Hope Church of Christ, 4527 Bristol Hwy, Johnson City, TN 37601.
