Ray MERKOSKY Obituary

MERKOSKY, Ray
November 23, 1930 - July 21, 2014
We would like to announce the peaceful passing of our husband, father and grandfather, Ray Merkosky with his wife Colleen by his side. He was very proud to reach 83 years of age.
Ray will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Colleen and their four children, Roland (Carol), Joan (Dan) Newman, Karen (Garry) Pollock and Dennis; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Britney, Brendan, Frances, Emily, David, Amanda, Claire and Surryeah; four brothers, Dave, Clarence, Ken and Clifford; four sisters, Alice, Madeline, Margaret and Edna as well as extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Clem and Martin as well as sister, Agnes.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 27 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 28 at Assumption Catholic Church, 9040-95 Avenue, Edmonton.
We would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Cujec and all the numerous caregivers. Also thank you to family and friends for all the care and prayers for Ray over the past 33 years.
For those who wish, donations in Ray's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 10985 – 124 Street NW, Edmonton, T5M 0H9.
