Ray Cable Obituary

ELIZABETHTON - Ray Charles Cable, age 58, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at his residence. He was the son of the late Joe Thomas Cable.

Ray was a machinist at Hampton Textile Printing. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and spending time with his family most of all.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Kyle Cable and fiancé, Tarrah Sanders, of Elizabethton, daughter, Chanda Cable, of Johnson City; mother, Ada Mae Cable, of Unicoi; siblings, Calvin Cable and Dallas Cable, of the home; Dale Cable, of Unicoi and Diane Bennett, of Erwin and one grandchild, Malachi Davidson, of Johnson City.

A service to celebrate the life of Ray will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2024 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home. The family will receive friends between the hours of 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM prior to the service on Friday.

The graveside service and interment will follow in the Roselawn Memory Gardens, Johnson City. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
