ELIZABETHTON - Ralph Wilson, 88, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in the Signature Health. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Sol & Sarah Hayes Wilson. Ralph was retired from Mapes Piano String. He loved hunting and gardening. In earlier years he was a member of the Good Neighbor Quartet. Ralph was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 8 brothers and one sister: Mike, Lonnie, Robert "Kay", Vern, Johnny "Conway", Edward "Ed", Earnest and Grady Wilson and Ina Ward.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Roselita "Lee" Wilson; two daughters & sons-in-law, Sarah & Tom Mays, and Lora & Jeffrey Honeycutt; three sons & daughters-in-law, Andy & Karen Wilson, Randy & Beth Wilson, and Steven & Kim Wilson; grandchildren Danielle & Dustin Taylor, Kayla Wilson, Derrick & Brittney Wilson, EmmaGrace Wilson, and Nicholas Wilson; two great-granddaughters, Sydney Taylor and Adlee Wilson; two sisters, Carolyn Miliam, of Elizabethton, and Liz Mercer of Texas; one brother, Arlie "Skip" Wilson of Texas and several nieces & nephews.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2023 in the Blevins Cemetery with Pastor Tim Tapp and Pastor Eric Wright officiating. Active pallbearers will be: Derrick Wilson, Dustin Taylor, Chris Wilson, Mason Wilson, Dejuane Sheffield and Austin Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be: Keith Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Josh Stevens and members of the Sportsman Club. The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to the staff of Signature Health for the excellent care he received during his stay there.
