ERWIN - Priscilla Ollis Harris, age 64, of Erwin, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023, in the Johnson City Medical Center. Priscilla was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County. She was the daughter of the late Bradley and Mary Mashburn Ollis. She was a lifelong and faithful member of Erwin Church of God, where she managed the collection and assembly of shoeboxes and items for Operation Christmas Child for many years. Priscilla was a faithful prayer warrior who loved her family and her church family with all her heart. She loved going to church. Priscilla was a Personal Assistant for Dr. Beth Lawson until her retirement. In addition to her parents, Priscilla was preceded in death by her brother, Willard Bradley Ollis; infant sister, Margaret Ann Ollis; one infant brother.
Priscilla Ollis Harris has left behind to cherish her memory, her husband of thirty-nine years, Michael Harris; daughter, April Crumley and her husband Wes; grandchildren, Corey Crumley and Chloe Crumley; brothers, Gary Ollis and his wife Lucy and Jerry Ollis and his wife Loraine; mother-in-law, Beatrice "Bea" Harris; brothers-in-law, Keith Harris and Greg Harris, Sr. and his wife, Martha; sisters-in-law; Loretta Ollis, Kathy Hensley and her husband Dwayne and Angie Boing and her husband Mitch; numerous nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer special thanks to their church family for all their support and prayers during Priscilla's illness. Special thanks to the staff of Unicoi County Emergency Medical Services, the doctors, nurses, and staff of the 5400 floor at the Johnson City Medical Center, Dr. Mike Stevens and the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Unicoi County Hospital for their care during this difficult time.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Priscilla Ollis Harris in a funeral service to be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, July 8, 2023, in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. Bishop John Edwards and Reverend Hope Fregoso will officiate. Gary Ollis and Sabrina Keller will provide musical selections. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 4:00 pm and will continue until service time on Saturday at Valley Funeral Home. A graveside committal service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Jones Cemetery, Unicoi. Those attending the committal service should meet at Valley Funeral Home by 1:30 pm on Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Aaron Fregoso, Juan Fregoso, Josue Fregoso, Tobias Ortiz, Crecencio Ortiz, Frank Rogers, Matt Salts and Danny Duncan, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Benito Fregoso, Aaron Ollis, Paul Ollis, Craig Duncan, Chad Duncan, Andy Ollis, Josh Ollis, Nick Ollis, Cody Harris, Jim Rune Nelson of Norway, Sheriff Mike Hensley, the deputies of the Unicoi County Sheriff's Department, Gregory Harris, Jr., Rick Tapp and Richard White.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Priscilla's name to Erwin Church of God, Building Fund, 772 Rock Creek Road, Erwin, TN 37650 or to the Unicoi County Animal Shelter, 185 N Industrial Drive, Erwin, TN 37650.
