JOHNSON CITY - Mr. Phillip Mical Dalton Sr., 73, Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the James A. Quillen V.A. Medical Center Hospital, after an extended illness.
He is preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Gladys Dalton; in - laws Charlie and Mary Carver; Sister Peggy Burch and husband Mike; brother in laws Robert "Buck" Carver and Sammy "Bobo" Carver.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Alice Marie (Carver) Dalton, Son Phillip M. Dalton, Jr. and wife Candice, Daughter Amber Dalton Chambers and husband J.D., Grandsons Tyler Chambers & Brianna, Jacob Chambers & wife Hannah, Gage Chambers, and Seth Dalton. Great grand-children Aubrey, Brinley, Alianna, Huxton, Amelia, Jasper, Emmett and Meelah. Brother Claude Dalton & wife Gayle, Sisters Elizabeth "Liz" Cox & Linda Parsons. sister-in-law Volena Carver. Special friends Teresa Bennett, Jordan Hensley, Amarrah and Kai. also, many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
The family of Phillip Dalton will receive friends and family from 11:30 - 12:30 pm on Wednesday November 13, 2024, in the Dogwood Chapel at Morris-Baker Funeral Home.
The funeral service will begin immediately after the visitation at 12:30 pm, with Pastor Kenneth Grindstaff officiating.
A committal service is scheduled for 2:00 pm at V.A. Mountain Home National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 pm. Pallbearers will be Phillip M. Dalton, Jr, Seth Dalton, J.D. Chambers, Tyler Chambers, Jacob Chambers and Gage Chambers.
