Phil enjoyed collecting "non-valuable stuff", cutting trees when needed, reading, fishing, gardening, traveling, and reading maps of any kind.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Blackmore, and two sisters, Karen Blackmore and Darlene Blackmore.

Phil is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Nona Blackmore; two sons, Kenneth Blackmore and Ronald Blackmore (LeAnne); daughter-in-law, Sue Blackmore; four grandchildren, Spencer Blackmore (Katie), Kaylyn Blackmore (Ashley), Averie Vines (Eric), Timothy Blackmore; four great-grandchildren, Abigail and Clara Blackmore, Amelia Vines, Emersyn Blackmore; "another son", Kevin Kaufman and his family; one sister, Bonnie Blackmore; two brothers, Richard Blackmore (Louise) and Randy Blackmore (Elizabeth); several nieces and nephews.
