Mr. Paul Edward "Eddie" Brookshire Jr.

JONESBOROUGH - Mr. Paul Edward "Eddie" Brookshire Jr., age 66, of Jonesborough, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on April 15, 1958, in Kingsport, Tennessee, to Paul Brookshire Sr. of Blountville and Shirley Brookshire of Jonesborough.

Eddie graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 1976. He attended Tennessee Tech and early on found a passion in the restaurant business. He was the district manager for Pizza Hut for over 20 years and managed Cracker Barrel, NASCAR Café, and retired from Logan's Roadhouse to become a professional papaw. Eddie was a lifelong fan of NASCAR and the TN Vols. He loved attending rock concerts, fishing, gardening, and relaxing at the beach. Eddie also loved cruising around town in his Camaro and going on family cruises.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Brookshire and a sister, Deborah Renay Brookshire, grandparents, Claude & Eva Willis and Conley & Juanita Brookshire.

In addition to his mother and father, Eddie is survived by his children, Kristan Spear (Jody) of Jonesborough, Grant Brookshire (Karmie) of Gray, Summar Brookshire of Jonesborough; grandchildren, Reed Ginnings, Rhylee Spear, River Spear, Ember Brookshire, Kanzlie Ross-Brookshire, Tayman Hill-Brookshire; brother, Gary Brookshire; nieces, Chauntee Brookshire, and Breeann Brookshire (Mike); great-nieces, Reagan Sewell, Harley Harris and Hunter Gallo.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. David Powers officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, prior to the service.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 21, 2024, at Hamblen Memory Gardens in Morristown.

Pallbearers will be Gary Brookshire, Reed Ginnings, Jody Spear, Grant Brookshire, Nick Norwood, Justin Edwards, Rhylee Spear, and Fred Sutton.

The family would like to thank his special friends, Barbara, Jackie, and Lisa for their care and support.

We were next door neighbors for 35 years to Eddie and Rhonda. We watched the children grow and blossom into adults. Eddie was a friend and neighbor and will be missed.
