Patricia Moody Hicks April 7, 2024
ERWIN - Patricia Moody Hicks, 86, Erwin, passed away with family by her side on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at her residence.
She was born in Washington County and lived in Johnson City most of her life. Patricia was the daughter of the late Hugh and Myrtle Palmer Moody.
Patricia was the Chief X-Ray Technician at Mountain States Health Alliance for over 40 years. She loved going to the beach with friends. Patricia also enjoyed sewing, shopping, and reading.
In addition to her parents, Patrica was preceded in death by her dear husband, Joseph "Wayne" Hicks and her beloved brother-in-law, Basil Blackburn.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Tilson (Steve); son, David Hicks; grandchildren, Clay McNabb (Whitney), Chase McNabb, Cole Tilson, Matthew Hicks (Jessica), Kayla Barker (Chris); great grandchildren, Brady McNabb, Anna McNabb, Ellie McNabb, Corbin Barker; sister, Phyllis Blackburn; nephews, Brian Blackburn, and Chad Blackburn (Mandy).
The graveside service will be held Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in Roselawn Memorial Park with Pastor Noah Taylor, officiating. Pallbearers will be Clay McNabb, Chase McNabb, Cole Tilson, Matthew Hicks, Chris Barker, Steve Tilson, Brian Blackburn, and Chad Blackburn. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 A.M.
Visiting with the family will take place at Sherry's home prior and after the burial.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Brighter Days Home Care of Erwin and the doctors, nurses, and staff at First Choice Internal Medicine for their wonderful care of Patricia.
