Pat Stewart Obituary

Pat Taylor Stewart, born October 30, 1938, in Burkburnett, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, in Munday, Texas. He was the son of Henry and Vida Lee Stewart.

Pat grew up in Seymour, Texas, where he graduated from Seymour High School in 1956. He pursued higher education at Texas Tech University before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business from North Texas University in 1960. Following his graduation, Pat began his career at General Dynamics in Fort Worth, where he contributed to the F-111 Fighter Bomber Project.

On August 26, 1961, Pat married Marjorie K. Teague, daughter of Vern and Mary Louise Teague. Together, they raised three sons—Robb, Brad, and Matt—while living in Fort Worth. Later, the family returned to Seymour to be closer to loved ones. There, Pat worked as a farmer and rancher before establishing himself as an independent insurance agent.

An avid outdoorsman, Pat shared his love for hunting and fishing with his children. Fall was his favorite season, filled with football games and outdoor adventures. Whether cheering for the Seymour Panthers, Texas Tech Red Raiders, or the Dallas Cowboys, these moments brought him great joy.

Known for his sense of humor and legendary pranks, Pat left an unforgettable impression on all who knew him. His laughter and stories will be cherished by those fortunate enough to have shared in them. Honoring his final wish, Pat’s body was donated to the Willed Body Program at the Health Sciences Center of Texas Tech University in Lubbock.

Pat is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Marjorie K. Teague Stewart; his sons Robb Stewart and Brad Stewart of Seymour and Matt Stewart of Frisco; and seven beloved grandchildren.

Pat’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. May his legacy bring comfort to all who knew him. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to:
