Orville Proffitt Obituary
Orville Proffitt passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2023 at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marilyn; and his four daughters, Sheri (Lee) Miller, Karen (Ben) McLeary, Marjorie (Robert) Miller, and Laura (Jason) Patrick. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. Orville donated his body to ETSU for research. There will be no memorial service at this time, but upon return of his remains a burial service will be held at Mountain Home VA Cemetery.
