JOHNSON CITY - Norman Lee Davis, age 79, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born in Washington County, Tennessee, a son of the late Jesse Davis and Aletha Vanover Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Gouge Davis; and one sister, Patsy Blevins.
Norman was of the Apostolic faith. He was a 1964 graduate of Jonesborough High School where he played basketball. He started building in 1968 while working for Eastman. He owned and operated Davis Construction for 54 years. He loved to golf, spend time with his family and will be remembered as a very kind and gentle man.
He is survived by one son, Norman Todd Davis and fiancé Tonja Dula; one daughter, Kimberly Jones; four grandchildren, Brett Jones, Morgan Young, Carissa Davis, and Nicholas Davis; two sisters, Vickie Barnett and husband Robin, and Betty Glasgow; beloved dog, Arnold; and several nieces and nephews.
A Private Committal Service and Interment was held in the Chapel Garden at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Pastor David Holtclaw officiating.
