I had the privilege to get to know this sweet lady when she moved to our community at Everlan. She had so many stories to tell and she loved Jesus.
Norma Jean gave the best hugs and always smiled.
Thank you for letting me get to know her and love her through the years. She will be deeply missed!

The Cannons were one of the families that welcomed us back to Johnson City in 1969. Our parents used to double date and that produced a lot of good memories and laughs. My favorite memory is the wonderful Christmas parties they hosted at their house. Sad and yet such good times

Ms Norma Jean. What a precious lady. She had a smile that lite up the room. She was so proud of her family she constantly told me how precious her daughter Ms Connie was. And lord her grand children was the flowers of her life. She made me feel so special. We would have breakfast every morning. lol unless one of us slept late. lol. Then it didn´t seem like breakfast. She had such a zest for living I will miss my friend.

I will always remember Mrs. Cannon's care and tenderness with me when we first moved to Johnson City. We moved midyear which can be difficult. Mrs. Cannon eased me in as a newbie, midyear. And then to have the pleasure of graduating with Connie many years later. It was so cool getting to see her at our high school reunions! Thanks Connie for sharing your Mom!!

I met Norma Jean and her husband, Stewart, back in 1978. I had just started working at one of our local banks, and they become my customers. From the onset, we became friends and loved to share stories and make each other laugh. I had the privilege of helping her during her later years at the community she had moved into. She always dressed to "the nines" and looked beautiful every day. She had a great sense of humor, and she will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to the family during this time of extremely difficult time.
