JOHNSON CITY - Nila Ruth Mathes, 82, Johnson City went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 10, 2025 in the Lakebridge Healthcare Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a daughter of the late John and Violet Hawk Barnett.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mathes will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, February 14, 2025 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Mr. Louie Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the service hour. Graveside services will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Johnson City. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends.
