ELIZABETHTON - Nancy Carol Blevins, age 87, of Elizabethton, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Hillview Heath Center. She was a daughter of the late Calvin and Grace Haynes Feathers and was born in Johnson City on September 1, 1937. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley "Jake" Blevins and her beloved dog "Jake".
Carol retired as a teacher after 33 years of service teaching at Happy Valley Elementary and Happy Valley Middle School. She enjoyed gardening and walking her dog.
Survivors include one daughter, Becky Blevins; her grand-dogs "Butch" and "Becker"; and a good friend, Jane Smith all of Elizabethton.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2025 in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the graveside to begin at 3:00 PM.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter, 135 Sycamore Shoals Dr., Elizabethton, TN, 37643.

Miss Feathers (Mrs. Blevins) was one of my favorite teachers of all time. I was in her first teaching class at Happy Valley along about '58 or '59 (my 6th grade). She was a great teacher from the beginning. Larry Treadway, Richard Garland and I (all classmates) got to see her at the Hallmark store a few years ago and I had kept in touch until the last few years. We have lost a fine lady.

I´m very sorry to hear of Nancy´s passing. I was one of her CNA´S at Hillview. She was a wonderful person I truly enjoyed caring for her. Prayers going up for the family may God be with you all
