Mildred Shipley Obituary
TITUSVILLE, FL - Mrs. Mildred Dolores Shipley, age 92, Titusville, Florida, formerly of Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the home of her son in Titusville.
Mrs. Shipley was born in Johnson City to the late Walter James & Willie Kate Scott Pugh on June 23, 1931. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by her husband, Arthur Shipley and son, Michael Keith Shipley, Sr.
She was a nurse at Mountain Home VA, local hospitals, and Orange County Health departments. She had a remarkable life. She loved her family dearly. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and shrimping in Florida. She will always be in our hearts and minds.
She is survived by children: son, Ronnie Joe Shipley, daughter, Georgeanna (Penny) Roberts, (Daryl ) son, Jeffery Thomas Shipley, (April), daughter, Teresa Douglas Shipley; grandchildren, Amy Shipley Parker, Mary Shipley Dowell, Craig Shipley, Michel Keith Shipley, Jr., Matthew Robert Shipley, Michelle Shipley Clausen, Debbie Roberts Hensley, Daryl Roberts, Jr., and Samantha Hunt; 15 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; also survived by sisters, Shirley Gibson, Paula Davis, brother David Pugh; and sister-in-law, Doris Fisher.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:30 PM Friday, December 8, 2023, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Edens officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:30 PM, Friday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at 2:00 PM at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
