JOHNSON CITY - Rev. Mike C. Howell, 89 of Johnson City went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 11, 2025. He was a native of Washington County and was a son of the late Park and Arbie Mae Helton Howell. Rev. Howell was a veteran having served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from HEB Heating and Air Company. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed visits with all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, C.A. Howell, Doug Howell, Lawrence Howell and John Howell; three sisters, Ada Story, Cumi Osga and Georgia Barnett.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jane Ramsey Howell; his son, Michael Howell and his wife, Lesley of Jonesborough; a sister, Martha Behrendt of Michigan; three step-children, Scarlett Dennison and husband, Jeff, Crystal Hensley and Billy Harvey and wife, Sarah all of Johnson City; multiple loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Rev. Mike will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 16, 2025 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor Bill Murray officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will follow with Military Honors at 2:00 PM in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
