JOHNSON CITY - Michael Alan Pendley, 51, of Johnson City, TN, entered his eternal rest at 6:35 pm on June 5, 2025. Michael was born in Fayette, Alabama on January 13, 1974. He grew up in Kingsport and attended Sullivan South High School and East Tennessee State University (ETSU). He worked at Bur-Wil Construction Company for several years and had recently obtained his Construction Manager Certification. He enjoyed singing, playing his guitar, gardening, and spending time with his girlfriend, Amber Pate of JC, and his dog Rowdy.
Michael is survived by his parents, Mike and Martha Pendley of Kingsport; his sister, Tina Pendley Martin and her husband John; his brother, Mark Pendley; nieces and nephew, Michelle and Katherine Martin; Jasmine and Leif Pendley, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents George and Nannie Lee Steffey of Kingsport, Bobby and Johnnie Snow of Berry, Alabama, and great grandparents, George and Sara Parsons of Orebank.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
