JOHNSON CITY - Mellissia Ann Hammett 66, of Johnson City, TN, went to be with the Lord on March 19th, 2024 under the care of the staff at the Johnson City Medical Center. Born on May 31, 1957, in Baltimore, MD, to Ruphus Hammett and Betty Whaley, she was a long-term resident of Johnson City, TN with a few moves along the way. Mellissia was a homemaker who loved spending time with her grandchildren and sewing as a hobby.
She is survived by her brother Charles Hammett, her children Christopher Kepllinger and Jasen Keplinger, and her grandchildren Lucas Keplinger, Anthony Murphey, Henry Knight, and Katlyn Foster.

I went to the old South Side elementary school -Mellissa was my class mate-I remember her as being very kind and fun-Iam very sorry to learn Mellissa passed away-God bless all your family-Mark Mears
